PROFESSIONAL BIO
Josh joined the faculty at Purdue University in 1998, after earning a Ph.D. at Indiana University, an M.A. from Ohio University, and a B.A. from Lipscomb University. He earned Purdue's top teaching award, the Murphy Award, in 2010. He has published research on issue management, sports communication, and higher education in outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Communication Theory, Communication Education, and The Journal of Applied Communication Research. He has taught more than 7,000 undergraduate students and advised 13 Ph.D. students.
